Let's colour a coffee' sack

Quarta Caffè, sponsored by M.I.U.R. C.S.A. Lecce, proclaims for the school year 2005/2006 an art award for six scholarships titling "let's colour a coffee' sack" where students from the third and fourth year of the Art Institutes and schools with artistic subjects of the Apulia state and state-recognized private secondary schools may take part. The works had to be carried out on jute canvas provided by Quarta Caffè, a new support which stimulates and upholds the creativity of the coffee's world. The target is to promote a greater attention towards the use of materials and instruments related to the coffee universe, which may rouse students’ curiosity and help in developing new approaches to the mixed technique. The Coffee, meant as meeting point and space, is historically an art and literature breeding ground, always protagonist, from the futurism to the avant-garde, of the main culture changes.
