Situation

The Democratic Republic of Congo is perhaps the only Country in the world where the State doesn’t warrant the admission to a free primary school. Every state school is a fee-paying school, and for a private free teaching you need also to pay heavy taxes to the state according to the number of pupils enrolled.

Project summary

The school will rise at the centre of the mission and will warrant the primary education cycle to children from 6 to 12 years old.

The new school building will allow the children of the Bandundu district to have a further hope, allowing to have a suitable structure where they can carry out regularly their lessons and acquire the first knowledge instruments necessary for their future.

The project means to warrant the fulfilment of an efficient and perfectly working school structure, which is able to warrant an instruction level for children of Makiosi village and for those of the many neighbouring villages. In the course of its works, Quarta Caffè is responsible for gathering school materials and for supporting teachers and volunteers who would like to contribute to the fulfilment of the school project.
